Forwarded by Nick Pope of the British Ministry of Defence, UFO researcher and investigator Georgina Bruni has written the most definitive account yet of the Rendelsham Forest UFO Mystery, often known as UK's equivalent of the Roswell crashed-saucer incident in the US. The title, based on a statement made by Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher to Bruni during her investigations, reflects the significance of strange events that occured over a highly-secure nuclear facility at the height of the cold war in 1980.
What happened during that eventful 48-hour period when a UFO seemed to have lured a security team from a highly-secured airforce facility into a nearby forest near England's south east coast? What happened in that forest over two nights in 1980 represents a remarkable journey into what might have been one of the greatest UFO encounters. High ranking personnel reported seeing a triangular UFO land. The craft alledgedly had writing clearly enscribed on its surface. Someone touched the surface of the craft. Three heavy equalateral impressions caused by several tonnes were plaster-casted at the site. High levels of radiation in the area were measured to peek in the impressions. Other witnesses reported a bright red light that darted about the forest which seemed to 'wink'. Clutching at straw, skeptics promote the notion that the entire event was promted by reflections of the nearby lighthouse.
Bruni dedicates a thorough chapter to the appearance of the British Police in the event, featuring famous photographs of a British police officer along with Captain Mike Verrano of the USAF at the alleged UFO landing site. Investigations into the Rendlesham Constabulary have been a challenge to investigators, with the local police being extremely difficult and suspicious, acting almost with a fearful silence on the topic.
